Hussaini Gojal, May 4<\/strong>: For several decades the community of Hussaini village in Gojal Hunza have been requesting the government authorities to upgrade Government Primary School to Middle level, to facilitate the students. In 2002, during the time of Mir Ghazanfar\u00a0Ali Khan, a building with six rooms was constructed in the vicinity of the village but so far its PC-IV has not been approved. The contractor has yet to hand over the building to the community.<\/p>\n

The walls have already developed cracks and the plaster is falling off the ceiling and walls, making it a dangerous place for studies. 75 students are enrolled in the Primary School<\/p>\n

75 students are currently enrolled in primary school building in a very congested environment and more than 60 students\u00a0are forced to walk every morning to Gulmit (16 km away) to attend a high school.<\/p>\n

The issue of middle\u00a0school has been pending for the last 11 years. Several unsuccessful attempts have been made by the community to divert attention of the authorities towards the plight of the school, without any avail.<\/p>\n

The differently able (special) children are especially affected due to absence of the high school building in the area, while many students are injured and two were killed in road accidents, while going to Gulmit.<\/p>\n

The local people have appealed to the Chief Secretary, Sajad Hottiana, to look into the matter and resolve the issue on priority basis. The locals have also appealed to the political leaders to take notice of the situation and take corrective measures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
