\n<\/a>Gilgit (PR):<\/strong> Karakoram Area Development organisation (KADO) will train female I.T graduates in demand driven and employable I.T skills 6-months paid internships in respective organizations. This was said by Amjad Ayub Chairman KADO during the grant opening ceremony held at Karakoram International University (KIU) Gilgit.<\/p>\n

\"Mubeen<\/a><\/p>\n

The project \u201cSupporting Female Graduates Access to Information Technology (I.T) Through Internship Programme\u201d will be being funded by USAID through Aurat Foundation and with KADO as its implementing partner in Gilgit district.<\/p>\n

\"Audience<\/a><\/p>\n

The Vice Chancellor of KIU, Muhammad Asif Khan was the chief guest of the ceremony and more than 200 representatives of government, private sector, civil society organizations, university faculty and female I.T graduates attended the opening ceremony.<\/p>\n

\"Mubeen<\/a><\/p>\n

Chairman KADO Amjad Ayub and CEO KADO Mubeen Muhaamd briefed the audience about the project. They mentioned that through this project, female I.T graduates in Gilgit will be trained in demand driven and employable I.T skills and the project will also provide 6-months paid internships in respective organizations. Training workshops will be arranged for employers and I.T graduates in labour laws, women rights and harassment issues so that a conducive environment could be created for the female I.T graduates in the job market.<\/p>\n

\"Audience\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Yasmeen, I.T graduate from KIU and trainee of KADO shared her success story and mentioned that the I.T\/freelancing training from KADO enabled her to work in the international market and earn a handsome income sitting at home.<\/p>\n

\"Yameen<\/a><\/p>\n

VC KIU appreciated the efforts of USAID, Aurat Foundation and KADO and showed his willingness to work closely with KADO in future.\u00a0 He mentioned that this project will truly empower the female IT graduates in Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n
