This is the first &#8216;policy discussion blog for development practitioners and activists in the mountain regions of Karakoram, Hindukush, western Himalayas, Pamirs, Tien Shan and Kunlun!&#8217;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">The name is inspired from the legend of thirty birds\u00a0attributed to the famous Sufi poet Farid ud Din Attar,\u00a0who is said to have been a member of the\u00a0&#8220;Ikhwan-al-Safa&#8221;, Brethern of Purity,\u00a0of the twelfth century.
