The allowance remained unpaid during the period 2004-06, due to a ceasure on payments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Later the allowance was paid to employees of other departments like,\u00a0Education, Health, Planning etc. However, despite of deducting Rs 700 from the salary of all Pakistan Post and NADRA\u00a0employees of Gilgit &#8211; Baltistan\u00a0as charges against\u00a0the speical pay,\u00a0it has not been paid to them, as yet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">The above \u00a0was stated by a\u00a0group\u00a0\u00a0of employees of NADRA and Pakistan Post, during a meeting with this correspondent.\u00a0 The employees have appealed to President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Gillani, Chairman of the Northern Areas and the Chief secretary for resolving this issue at the\u00a0earliest, taking serious notice of the brazen anomaly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>by Farman Karim Baig Gilgit, June 20: During the Musharraf\u00a0era, 2004, an allowance of 25% raise, under &#8220;special basic pay&#8221; had been granted to all government officials of the\u00a0Northern Areas Administration.
