HUNZA<\/strong>, Aug 26 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain Saturday\u00a0urged the students of Gilgit Baltistan to equip themselves\u00a0with the latest education and serve the nation by utilizing\u00a0all their capabilities and energies.<\/p>\n

He said the main objective of providing the highest\u00a0educational facilities in the far flung areas like Hunza\u00a0should not be taken as means for merely seeking government\u00a0jobs, but the aim should be serving of the motherland and\u00a0nation as the builders of modern world. The president was addressing the inauguration ceremony\u00a0of Hunza campus of Karakorum International University here.<\/p>\n

Governor Gilgit Baltistan Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan, acting\u00a0vice chancellor Karakorum University Dr Khalil Ahmed, faculty\u00a0members and students were present on the occasion.<\/p>\n

The president observed to achieve these objectives, they had to take a stride further by educating the youth about the\u00a0larger benefits of their studies.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s world has changed manifold in which the human resources along with natural resources have acquired greater\u00a0significance, he said.<\/p>\n

The president said \u201cThe nations with limited natural resources are also being considered as rich ones because the\u00a0reason for their progress and prosperity was hidden in the\u00a0promotion of human resources and its better utilization.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said Allah Almighty has bestowed upon Pakistan\u00a0especially Gilgit Baltistan the vast natural resources.\u00a0If the people fully equip themselves with the latest\u00a0education and knowledge, not only Pakistan, but also the whole region could prosper remarkably, he added.<\/p>\n

Reposing his confidence in the abilities of Gilgit\u00a0Baltistan youth, the president said besides, safeguarding the\u00a0China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), they should play\u00a0their due role for the progress and prosperity of the region.<\/p>\n

He said the Karakorum university would continue playing its role in this regard and expressed his satisfaction over\u00a0the establishment of CPEC cell by the university.<\/p>\n

The president also expressed his pleasure over the setting up Hunza campus of Karakorum university and prayed for\u00a0its expansion.<\/p>\n

He also referred to the historic background of Hunza, saying that its valiant inhabitants had faced the Dogra\u00a0repressive rule with bravery and secured their freedom.<\/p>\n

This land of high mountains and beautiful valleys with cascading brooks became a part of Pakistan owing to that historic struggle, he noted.<\/p>\n

The president said the people of this region had done\u00a0miraculous deeds including the part played in the construction\u00a0of Silk road, followed by this century\u2019s wonder in the shape\u00a0of CPEC.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
