{"id":69365,"date":"2018-01-01T02:12:49","date_gmt":"2017-12-31T21:12:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pamirtimes.net\/?p=69365"},"modified":"2018-01-01T02:12:49","modified_gmt":"2017-12-31T21:12:49","slug":"on-the-deathbed-of-my-father-poem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pamirtimes.net\/en\/2018\/01\/01\/on-the-deathbed-of-my-father-poem\/","title":{"rendered":"On the deathbed of my father [Poem]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Seemi Asad<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the death bed of my father, I was but a toddler.<br \/>\nMy face was wet with kisses; my ears were deafened with screeches.<br \/>\nI was clouded in the fog of fear, longing to get hold in the arms of my father.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Your father has gone to meadows where fairies lives, to bring you flowers<\/em>\u201d<br \/>\n\u201c<em>but mother, I don\u2019t want flowers<\/em>\u201d<br \/>\n\u201c<em>go to school, study and bring us good fate<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I was bewildered for a way back of father was taking forever.<br \/>\nI wanted to run, play hide and seek, eat good food, wear beautiful clothes but like a nomad I was made to travel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Uncle will take good care of you, stay there and obey whatever they.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cI don\u2019t like being there mother, please don\u2019t make do this.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>My days passed, hearing complaints I never made.<br \/>\nI grew up like everybody else do, veiling my wishes, fighting my fears.<br \/>\nBut how long can you hold a dam of water?<br \/>\nOne day, someday, it is irresistible and goes on a way it is made for.<br \/>\nIn a stream it flows.<\/p>\n<p>In a cold of December, I was taken to jail and beaten, for a crime my heart hadn\u2019t taken.<br \/>\n\u201c<em>Can I Murder?<\/em>\u201d<br \/>\nI was hanged upside down all day long all night long.my back was lashed, my skin was bruised<br \/>\nand blood flowing out of skin, frustrated as if it is betrayed by the veins of its own.<\/p>\n<p>I was released but I feel caged.<br \/>\nI carry the <em>Bubur\u2019s wine <\/em>and drink all night to pain the pain, hidden.<br \/>\nPatience i wore as a fabric is unwoven.<br \/>\nDraw a blade and cut me open. Pull my heart and throw it away for I can hold it no longer.<br \/>\nNow I feel rotten, to skin, to blood, to bones and to soul.<br \/>\nI decay and I stink. I am a dead leaf of an autumn.<br \/>\nKeep away, don\u2019t come closer.<br \/>\nI don\u2019t give a heed even if you are my own mother.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Seemi Asad On the death bed of my father, I was but a toddler.
