MQM is fielding 14 candidates for the GBLA Election 2009, including Kamil Jan from Hunza.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">That the Mohajir &#8211; Qaumi &#8211; Movement turned Motahida- Qaumi-Movement was able to find fourteen willing candidates to contest elections in our region is a reflection of the six decades long Karachi &#8211; GB migration phenomena rather than a reflection of grass root support for the ideology of MQM or the personality of Altaf Hussain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">However, the fact remains that over one hundred thousand citizens of GB, including students, professionals, laborers and families, are living in Karachi.<\/p>\n<p>Involvement of MQM in organized urban militancy is a major cause of concern for the people of Gilgit &#8211; Baltistan.
