{"id":8569,"date":"2009-11-18T10:56:59","date_gmt":"2009-11-18T05:56:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pamirtimes.net\/?p=8569"},"modified":"2009-11-18T10:56:59","modified_gmt":"2009-11-18T05:56:59","slug":"call-to-appoint-wazir-baig-as-cm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pamirtimes.net\/en\/2009\/11\/18\/call-to-appoint-wazir-baig-as-cm\/","title":{"rendered":"Call to appoint Wazir Baig as CM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><strong>HUNZA, Nov 17<\/strong>: The leadership of the Hunza chapter of Pakistan People\u2019s Party has appealed to President and co-chairperson of the party Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Qamar Zaman Kaira to appoint Wazir Baig as Chief Minister of the region.<\/p>\n<p>In a meeting held at Aliabad, they said that Mr Baig deserved to be appointed as chief minister as he was highly educated and a neutral personality acceptable to all in Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n<p>They also congratulated the winning candidates of the assembly and expressed their hope that they would utilise their energies for the development of the region.<\/p>\n<p>They paid tributes to the people of upper Hunza and the party workers who helped the party win the election.<\/p>\n<p>They also expressed hope that the losing candidates in Hunza would join hands with the newly elected members and work for the development of Hunza.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, president of Hunza chapter of the party Fida Karim commended the historic role played by the people of Hunza, in general, and the people of Gojal, in particular, for the victory of the PPP in the GB polls.
