We would welcome if any local woman is designated for the governorship. These views were expressed by chief minister\u00a0GB Syed Mehdi Shah while taliking to this scribe at Karachi Press Club.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Addressing a meet-the-press session at Karachi press club he asked, &#8220;If the presence of an elected\u00a0president and prime minister in Azad Kashmir does not affect the Kashmir cause, how is it possible that an elected\u00a0Chief minister in Gilgit-Baltistan would become detrimental for it?&#8221;. He further said, &#8221; The people of Gilgit Baltistan have given far more sacrifices for Kashmir cause when\u00a0compared\u00a0to any other people in the country&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">He urged journalists not to merge Gilgit Baltistan with Kashmir. &#8220;Gilgit Baltistan has \u00a0its own unique identity and historical background&#8221;, he emphasized. &#8216;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Talking about the\u00a0scourge\u00a0of sectarianism in Gilgit &#8211; Baltistan he blamed Zia ul Haq&#8217;s &#8220;divide and rule&#8221; policy. &#8221;Zia ul haq is responsible for sectarion violence in GB who in late 80&#8217;s tried to divide the locals on sectarian basis. He was behind worst the worst type\u00a0of <em>lashkar kashi <\/em>against the peaceful people of the region.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Earlier, visiting\u00a0 PPP media cell karachi, he said &#8221;Sindh is my politcal qibla and Larkana part of my political Eman:.
