During the second day of adventure walk, the\u00a0Scouts after arrival at Karimabad received a very warm welcome from the local Scouts and community however they were not given the permission to visit the fort.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:10pt;color:#000000;\">The Scouts leaders approached Ikram ullah Baig, Manager Baltit Heritage Trust and explained objectives of the walk but he demanded at least 20 rupees per Scouts as entry fee. He said that if free entrance is allowned then it is not possible to pay the salaries\u00a0of the fort employs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:10pt;color:#000000;\">The walk also aims to\u00a0give the scouts exposure about the cultural heritages in the region. However, the rude\u00a0behaviour of the manager deprived the Scouts to visit the historical fort.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:10pt;color:#000000;\">Scouting is a non-funded youth movement thus having a narrow financial resources and the walk has been sponsored by different local and regional organisations to strengthen youth-led organisations as an effective force in the society. <\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hunza, June 01: Manager Baltit fort has refused the Scouts to visit the fort without paying entry fees.
