The officials, reportedly, told the local leaders that newly appointed governor of Gilgit &#8211; Baltistan, Dr Shama Khalid, would be visiting Gojal valley in a couple of days to observe the situation as well as to make announcements for resolution of various issues faced by the local people. Journalists were not allowed to cover the meeting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">The Numberdards have reportedly promised a warm welcome for the first local governor of Gilgit &#8211; Baltistan. &#8220;She is a daughter of Gilgit &#8211; Baltistan and we are proud of her&#8221;, a participant of the meeting told this scribe after the meeting was over. &#8220;We will give her a traditional warm welcome&#8221;, he further said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">A\u00a0couple of days ago technocrat member of GBLA, Mutabiat Shah, had told a gathering that the governor would soon be issuing the notification for calamity hit status during her visit to Gojal valley.
