New power tariff will soon be presented to the \u00a0provincial cabinet for approval.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div>\n<div id=\":wi\">\n<div id=\":we\">\n<div>Secretary water and power Guhlam Mehdi confirming the reports said that \u00a0the tariff had not been increased since 2005 and now \u00a0it was necessary to raise the power prices for achieving revenue collection targets .<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8220;Currunt fisical year revenue target is \u00a019 crore Rs and no stone will be left unturned for getting this&#8221;he added.\u00a0He said &#8221; there are \u00a0 two and half lakh electricity consumers across Gilgit Baltistan and four kilowatt electricity is used in every house \u00a0and its bill should be minimum 300 Rs per month&#8221;.How ever he did not give any detail about the new price formula.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Sources revealed that current financial crisis was the main reason behind the decision and economic managers found no way to over come the difficulties except increase the power prices<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Asif Iqbal Gilgit, February 8: After reduction in subsidy on wheat, Gilgit Baltistan government has decided to increase electricity prices alaos.
