{"id":27237,"date":"2012-04-10T04:06:39","date_gmt":"2012-04-09T23:06:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pamirtimes.net\/?p=27237"},"modified":"2012-04-10T04:06:39","modified_gmt":"2012-04-09T23:06:39","slug":"siachin-excavation-of-avalanche-debris-in-progress-swiss-and-german-experts-to-join-the-efforts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pamirtimes.net\/tg\/2012\/04\/10\/siachin-excavation-of-avalanche-debris-in-progress-swiss-and-german-experts-to-join-the-efforts\/","title":{"rendered":"Siachin: Excavation of avalanche debris in progress, Swiss and German experts to join the efforts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Special Reporter <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Islamabad<\/strong>&#8211; The governments of Switzerland and Germany have sent rescue operation experts to Pakistan to help digging out the stranded soldiers hit by a massive avalanche on Siachen glacier.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to diplomatic sources, the Swiss government has sent a team of three avalanche experts and a sniffer dog that will be arriving here in Islamabad late on Monday night. \u201cA team of three avalanche experts and a special dog from Switzerland are on their way to Pakistan, they will land in Islamabad late tonight\u201d, said a source in the Swiss embassy wishing not to be named.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Swiss government has increased cooperation with the Pakistani security authorities after release of two Swiss hostages that were kept in custody of the Taliban for over eight months.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another Source in the German embassy said the German government has offered help to Pakistan to dig out the stranded soldiers. \u201cThe message has been delivered through the proper diplomatic sources both in Berlin and Islamabad which was warmly welcomed\u201d said an official of the German embassy in Islamabad on conditions of anonymity as he is not allowed to talk to the media.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Monitoring Desk &#8211; Meanwhile, Pakistan Army has deployed around 350 people, including 286 soldiers, to excavate the avalanche debris. According to ISPR website,\u00a0\u00a0a 40 feet long, 30 feet wide and 10 feet deep area has been cleared by the relief workers, with the help of JCB and Dozers.
