The complete details of the ordinance are not known, yet, but we are hoping that most of the demands of the people of Gilgit \u2013 Baltistan would be met\u201d, said Ghazanfar Ali Khan, chief executive of Gilgit \u2013 Baltistan,\u00a0<a rel=\"attachment wp-att-6804\" href=\"http:\/\/pamirtimes.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/30\/%e2%80%9cpackage-a-positive-step-forward%e2%80%9d-ghazanfar-ali-khan-chief-executive\/gak-2\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6804\" title=\"GAK\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pamirtimes.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/gak.jpg?resize=245%2C245\" alt=\"GAK\" width=\"245\" height=\"245\" \/><\/a>talking to this scribe on phone. He congratulated all the people of Gilgit \u2013 Baltistan on their peaceful struggle for obtaining political rights, in a democratic manner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">He also admitted that due to increased awareness level of the masses of Gilgit \u2013 Baltistan, expectations have soared and there would be many questions raised about different points related to the ordinance.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Replying to a question Ghazanfar said that it is important to ensue that all member of the GB Council are residents of Gilgit \u2013 Baltistan. However, he said that the\u00a0governor is the authority to appoint seven out of the fifteen members of Gilgit \u2013 Baltistan Council, while other\u00a0six members of the council will be selected from the Gilgit \u2013 Baltistan Legislative Assembly.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">No decision has been taken yet about the increment of number of seats for Hunza, Ghazanfar said, replying to a question.
