Islamabad:<\/strong> His Highness the Aga Khan, the 49th<\/sup> hereditary Imam of the world\u2019s 20\u00a0plus million\u00a0Ismaili Muslims is scheduled to visit Pakistan in December.<\/p>\n

According to an internal communique, the Aga Khan will reach Pakistan on the 7th<\/sup> of December. An invitation for visiting Pakistan was extended to the Aga Khan by President Mamnoon Hussain early this year.<\/p>\n

The Aga Khan is expected to meet huge congregations of his followers on the 9th<\/sup> of December in Chitral and on the 10th<\/sup> of December in different parts of Gilgit-Baltistan. He will meet the community leaders and government officials in Islamabad on the 12th<\/sup> and 14th<\/sup>, before departing for Karachi, where he will spend two more days, meeting community leaders and government officials.<\/p>\n

The Ismailis are celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of the spiritual leadership of the Aga Khan, who has been leading his community to prosperity for the last six decades.<\/p>\n

Government departments and Ismaili volunteers are working together in different parts of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan to construct, prepare, Didargahs (special congregation spaces), where the Aga Khan will meet thousands of his followers, and share guidance for worldly and religious upliftment of the Jamat.<\/p>\n

The Aga Khan is touring different countries of the world, and meeting government officials and community members as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.<\/p>\n

The last time the Aga Khan gave Deedar <\/em>to his followers in Pakistan was in 2000.<\/p>\n
