Gilgit-Baltistan Election Schedule Announced
Gilgit, April 21: The Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Election Commissioner Syed Tahir Shah today announced the scheduled for polling in the GB region.
According to the schedule announced, public notices will be issued by the Returning Officers on 24th of April (Friday).
The candidates have been asked to submit their candidature credentials with the ROs latest by 27th of April. The credentials will be accepted for two days.

The nomination paper will be scrutinized from 28th April to 4th May. The candidates will be able to file their appeals against the decisions by the 8th of May.
The appeals will be decided by Tribunals by the 15th of May.
Candidates will be able to withdraw their nomination latest by the 16th of May. A revised list of the candidates will be published the next day.
Gilgit-Baltistan will go to polls on the 8th of June, as already announced by the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, with the approval of the Prime Minister.
Hundreds of candidates are expected to contest for the 24 seats of the Gilgit- Baltistan Legislative Assembly. Three technocrats and six women members will be added to the assembly on reserved seats.
