Karachi: HGISF appoints new cabinet
Karachi, January 11: The Hunza Gilgit Ismaili Students Federation (H G I S F) formed its new cabinet here at the Institute for Educational Development, Aga Khan University Karachi. According to details the following members have been appointed in HGISF cabinet for the year 2014.
According to a press release, Shahzad Baig has become the new Chairman of HGISF, Fida Karim Senior Vice Chairman, Azmeen Khan Vice Chairperson, Barkat Ali Shah General Secretary, Naik Alam Finance Secretary, Rizwan Karim Information Secretary and Sarfaraz Ahmed has been appointed as Joint Secretary. Nisaruddin has been appointed as HGISF’s Senior Cordinator, while Zeeshan Karim has also been appointed as Coordinator.
All members of the newly formed cabinet are young professionals and bright university students.
Outgoing cabinet members and advisers posed strong confidence on the abilities of new cabinet members and assured their all-out support and cooperation to strengthen HGISF throughout Pakistan. Newly appointed members of cabinet highly appreciated the contributions of outgoing cabinet members and reiterated their commitment to carry forward the legacy of outgoing team through strengthening HGISF in the days to come. It is befitting to note it here that HGISF is a federation of more than eighteen students-led community based organizations who have been serving the youth and community members from Hunza and Gilgit region in Karachi-the metropolitan city and the largest industrial and financial hub of Pakistan.
