K2 and Karakuram Festival being organized in Lahore

Lahore, March 6: EvK2CNR and SEED, two non-governmental organizations, are organizing a three-day K2 and Karakuram Festival in Lahore, the heart of the Punjab. The festival will be held from March 28th-30th, 2014

The culture of Gilgit-Baltistan will, reportedly, be highlighted at the festival. Stalls of Gemstones, Woodcraft, agricultural products, tourism monuments, climbing wall, food court, cultural and heritage exhibition, International Mountain Film Festival and live music from the mountains will be part of the festival. Another feature of the festival will be  a photo exhibition titled “Rediscovering the Abode of Snow”, containing photographs from 1913-14.
