Election schedule for GBLA announced

ISLAMABAD – (Geo TV) –  Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced election schedule for the formation of Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly. According to the notification, the elections will be held on November 12, 2009 under the supervision of court. The officials results will be announced on November 14, 2009.

The ECP has fixed October 1, 2009 as the date for filing the nomination papers. The objections will be filed with the returning officer on October 9. Final list of the candidates will be released on October 15 after scrutiny of nomination papers. Election symbols will be allotted on October 17.
