PMA Punjab puts weight behind doctors and nurses’ strike in GB
LAHORE – The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Punjab chapter on Saturday announced complete support for the doctors of Gilgit Baltistan in the call for strike by the PMA Gilgit Baltistan chapter.
The PMA demanded the Gilgit Baltistan chief minister immediately take notice of the matter and have the case withdrawn against the doctors, so that the strike in the hospitals could be called off.
The PMA Punjab office bearers said further that the government and private hospitals at Gilgit Baltistan had been locked for the last four days but the government had not bothered to look into the matter. The PMA also demanded Prime Minsiter Yousaf Raza Gillani’s attention in the matter.
