30 thousand trees to be planted in Hunza – Nagar: Yaqoob Khan

Hunza, March 13: District Forest Officer, Yaqoob Khan, has said that this year around 30,000 non-fruit-bearing trees will be planted in Hunza – Nagar district. He has said that the trees will be provided to LSOs and other relevant organizations, who have also been asked to identify areas for plantation.

Giving details, the DFO informed that the plantation drive will be started Thursday from Harespo Das, Nagar.

  1. Its a great pleasure to know about the tree plantation campaign of forest department in the Hunza-Nagar region. I request the forest department to focus the indigenous plants of these regions. I also request the forest department to kindly run some awareness programmes in schools on the importance of plantation, and the cross cutting issue of global warming and its impacts on the local environments.
