Rawalpindi, March 20: The strategic Karakuram Highway has been blocked at multiple locations due to rockfall and landslide incidents triggered by widespread rainfall. Vehicles are stuck on different parts of the KKH, an employee of a transport company told Pamir Times.

The FWO has, reportedly, started removing debris and boulders from different parts of the KKH, in attempts to reopen the road for traffic.

The KKH is a highly volatile link between Pakistan and China, threatened by natural and human induced hazards.
