Ulema committee formed for restoration of peace, MWM calls off Dharna

Islamabad, April 14: The federal government has announced to constitute a judicial commission to probe into the Chilas massacre. An ulema committee has also been formed  for restoration of peace and religious harmony in Gilgit-Baltistan while Majlis Wahdat ul Muslemeen(MWM) ended its a week long protest in fornt of parliament in Islamabad.

According to details chairman Senate Nayyer Bukhari, Federal Minsters Qamar Zaman Kaira and Nazer Gondal met the leaders of MWM and assured them that government would use all available resources to bring the terrorist, who were involved in the killing of innocent passengers, to justice.

“A judicial commission, comprising two judges of higer judiciary one each from supreme Appellate court and chief court,will be set up while representatives of Ahle Sunnat and Shia sects will also be made the members of the commission”, Nayyer Bukhari assured and added that the commission would present its report within a month.

Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that third hand was involved in GB unrest talking to a Ulema delegation he said a Ulema committee would be made for restoration of law and order in Gilgit.

Ulema assured their full cooperation for maintaining law and order and said that there was no issue of sectarian in Gilgit Baltistan.
