Gilgit: The district administration has imposed section 144 of the law in Gilgit city. According to a notification received here, public gathering, protests, carrying arms and ammunition and pillion riding have been banned under the law, till first week of October, 2012.
The measure has been taken after the bomb attack on a van in which one person was killed and five others were injured.
