Baba Ghundi Festival to be held in Chipurson

Hunza, August 28: The 5th Baba Ghundi Festival will be held on 29 September in Chipurson, a strategically located remote valley in Gojal-Upper Hunza. The event will include different cultural and Sufi songs, dances and games like polo, buz kashi and mindek.

This festival is being held to commemorate the legendary Sufi Saint, Baba Gundi. The festival was first celebrated in 2009 and later calanderised by the Gilgit-Baltistan tourism department.
