Nabbed: Gilgit Police arrest two men in connection with Hayat Khan murder

Gilgit, September 7: Police in Gilgit have arrested two people in connection with the murder of Hayat Khan, a leader of the Gujjar community and a renowned polo player.

According to SP Zia Ali, police arrested a man named Gul Zaman, a resident of Danyore in connection with the murder, after initial investigation. Gul Zaman, later, identified another man, identified as Qasim, son of Habib, hailing from Danyore.

Gul Zaman, reportedly, is working for the Gilgit-Baltistan Police, while Qasim is working at the office of the Excise and Taxation minister in Gilgit.

The SP informed the reporters that Qasim has, allegedly, murdered two more people in the past. Gul Zaman aided him in the crime by helping him flee the crime scene, the police chief said
