Pak, China officials meet in Khunjrab

Pakistan and China had signed a border agreement in the 80s after which trade started through the KKH between the two countries. Historically, the state of Hunza had diplomatic relationship with the Chinese rulers

GILGIT – A meeting has been taken place between the Inspector General of Gilgit-Baltistan Police Cap (R) Zafar Iqbal Awan and the Chief of Tashqurghan Immigration Liu on Thursday  at Zero Point Khunjrab Top.

On the occasion, the police chief discussed with Liu the bilateral issues. Both the authorities stressed upon the need to increase mutual cooperation in controlling illegal cross-border movements, human trafficking, drags smuggling and ways to curb terrorism.

They unanimously agreed to strengthen the existing cooperation between the boarder forces and wowed to bridge the gap besides taking the cooperation to enhanced level.

The meeting was conducted in an encouraging atmosphere and assisted by the authorities of Khunjrab Security Force and Khunjrab Meeting Station.
