Hunza (PR): Al-Amyn English Model School has announced the annual result for 2016. 98% of the students studying in classes from ECD to class 8th were declared successful. A large number of students, parents and community notables, social and political larders and representative of the Government Education department participated the result announcing ceremony.
Chairman Board of Governors Al Amyn Model School Gulmit, DDO Government Girls Higher Secondary School Gulmit, General Secretary the Gulmit Educational and Social Welfare Society, Principal Nazir Ahmed Bulbul, Dr. Sher Aziz Director General Rescue 1122, and other notables addressed the ceremony. The speakers appreciated the efforts of the school in rendering quality education in the area during the last 25 years. The notables distributed certificates and awards among the position holders.
This was the 25th annual result and the school is celebrating its silver jubilee. Al-Amyn is the only school in Gojal tehsil having its affiliation with the Aga Khan University Examination Board.
The school also announced admissions from class ECD to Prep 9th for the new academic year. A pre ECD initiative has been also taken in collaboration with Rupani Foundation Pakistan where a pre ECD center will be initiated at the school during the new academic session.
Al-Amyn Model School & College Gulmit was established on 21st September 1991. It is an initiative of the Gulmit Educational and Social Welfare Society (registered)-GESWS. GESWS is a community-based organization that aims to improve the quality of life through educational and other developmental activities and projects to meet the needs of the area. In 2013 the GESWS constructed Girls Hostel and the school was upgraded to Higher Secondary School level. The school offers SSC and HSSC schooling program.
