Considered to be the birthstone of the month of March, aquamarine means seawater in Latin. Considered to be an all-purpose healing stone as it treats spiritual and psychological issues, the stone has huge reserves in Gilgit-Baltistan province of Pakistan.
● Emerald
Birthstone for people born in the month of May, Emerald enchants its beholder with its sheer beauty. With hues of yellow and blue, the green colored gemstone is one of the most sought after in the gemstones family. Transparent, sea green colored Emeralds are the most popular and are mined in Mingora, Swat District.
● Peridot
Peridot is not only the birthstone for people born in August but is also the national stone of Egypt. It is said to possess healing properties and provides its wearer power, happiness, and influence. The green colored stone, with hues of yellow and gold, is mined in Pakistan’s Kohistan area.
● Corundum
Naturally, a transparent stone, Corundum can have different colors in the presence of impurities. Ruby and Sapphire are its popular types. It is the second hardest mineral after diamond. The Dir region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is home to the pink and purple corundum.
