Gilgit: Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza, the Commander 10 Corps on Saturday said that the army knew how to teach a lesson to its enemies. “We will respond to aggression in the most befitting manner,” Lt Gen Raza said while speaking to soldiers at forward blocks of Siachen in Gilgit-Baltistan on Friday, read a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). This was Lt Gen Raza’s first official visit to Gilgit-Baltistan after assuming charge of the 10 Corps. “Corps Commander expressed satisfaction over the defense arrangements at forward camps of Siachen and appreciated the high morale of the soldiers in the extreme weather conditions,” the statement read. Lt Gen Raza was accompanied by force commander FCNA Maj General Saqib Mehmood Malik on his visit. Earlier, the Corps Commander inaugurated a memorial for martyred soldiers (Yadgar-e-Shuhada) in Nagar district of Gilgit-Baltistan.
