Gilgit: Police employee ‘commits suicide by hanging himself’

Gilgit: A carpenter working for the Gilgit-Batlistan Police has reportedly ended his life by hanging himself.

According to details printed in the regional dailies, Jafar Ali, a carpenter working for the regional Police department hanged himself by a tree, ending his life. He reportedly left his home on Wednesday night and did not return. His body was reportedly found hanging from a tree in the Jutial Nallah. He was laid to rest in Khomer, after his funeral prayers were offered at the Imamia Masjid, Gilgit.

The Police has started an investigation to ascertain the causes of the alleged suicide.
