GILGIT: TechScape organized the first ever Tech fair in Gilgit Baltistan in collaboration with Pak-US Alumni network, Accelerate Prosperity Pakistan, Google, GBRSP, Government of Gilgit Baltistan, KIU and Pepsi Pakistan on July 21, 2019. The Tech fair was the concluding event of a series of bootcamps organized by the team Techscape for two months where 140 students from more than 30 schools from GB participated.
Top 12 projects with brilliant ideas were showcased at the tech fair where top five secured contractual awards from Accelerate Prosperity, Pakistan.
Vice Chancellor Karakoram International University Dr. Attaullah Shah, CEO Ignite-National Technology Fund Yusuf Hussain and Country Manager of Accelerate Prosperity Pakistan Imran Shams attended the event.
The chief guest Dr. Attaullah Shah showed very keen interest in conducting the next tech fair in collaboration with TechScape and appreciated the efforts of the young entrepreneurs and team TechScape.
CEO ignite Yusuf Hussain appreciated the innovative ideas presented during the fair.
The Country Manager Accelerate prosperity highlighted the importance of the technological innovation and termed theevent as the steppingstone for a paradigm shift of the region towards digitalization. He also appreciated the efforts of the team TechScape.
TechScape is an ed-tech startup founded by a group young passionate student from Gilgit-Baltistan which aims to empower the youth of the region with the latest state of the art technologies at a very early age and equip them with skills needed to take on the future of work. Techscape organised this fair as the first milestone towards transforming Gilgit Baltistan as the Silicon Valley of Pakistan.
