Gilgit, April 13: Paramilitary forces and police started a search operation in Chilas, the headquarters of Diamer district, to arrest people involved in mob violence which led to the targeted killing of Shia passengers 10 days back. Around 200 soldiers of the GB Scout and policemen conducted raids in different parts of Chilas to arrest the culprits.
It is pertinent to note that a state of curfew has been haunting residents of Gilgit city since April 3, when around two dozen people were killed in Gilgit and Chilas in apparently sectarian clashes.
Pakistan Army has since then held control of Gilgit city, where tens of people belonging to the Shia and Sunni sects have been arrested. Weapons have also been recovered, according to sources.
All the terrorist has been escaped. Operation is too late. All terrorist has left for Kohistan, to get more training.Heavy operation should be launched against the terrorist who not only involved in Chilas tragedy but also Kohistan mishap. The people of Chilas are peacefull and simple so they were used for these terror act.
