Chilas, June 1: A man was killed and at least 4 others were injured in a road accident today.
According to details, a Skardu bound coaster (No. 9822) reportedly collided with a stationay truck (No. GLTA-7379) near Houdur village, on the Karakuram Highway in the limits of Diamer District. The truck had reportedly been standing on the road after developing a fault.
The deceased was identified as a soldier of Pakistan Army returning to his duty after spending vacations in Shikarpur, Sindh. One of the injured is also believed to be a soldier, while the other three are residents of Skardu, Chilas based reporters informed.
The exact reason behind the collision could not be ascertained.
