Chief Court orders Geo TV/Jang Group to stop “media trial of Gilgit-Baltistan’s judiciary”

Gilgit, December 2: Rule of Jungle does not prevail in Gilgit-Baltistan. All the courts here are working under the federation and the performance of judges here is better than many other parts of the country. Geo News should stop its campaign against the judiciary of Gilgit-Baltistan. None will be safe, if the region’s judiciary is not safe.
These remarks were made by Justice Sahib Khan and Justice Wazir Shakil today. While accepting GEO TV’s appeal for hearing, Justice Sahib Khan said that if there’s rule of Jungle in Gilgit-Baltistan then how come Geo TV/Jang Group have appealed for justice in a GB court?
The learned judge said action can be taken if GEO TV does not stop its campaign against the judiciary of Gilgit-Baltistan.
It is pertinent to note that last week an anti-terrorism court had sentenced Jang Group/Geo TV’s owner-cum-chief editor to 26 years in imprisonment, along with 1.3 million rupees in fine, confiscation of property and passport. Three other people were also sentenced with him on charges of blasphemy.
what i think 🙂 all courts in Pakistan making fun of them selves.. till now all the courts given orders to bring those people in custody. but nothing happen .. and now its same.nothing is gonna happen with the orders of GB Court. but some how it s good to hear that becoz of it misconception of our people become clear with wt federal minister of Information said … . our people come to know that we are not Pakistani any more 🙂
