GB Government ignores issues of blind community

GHANCHE: The Gilgit Baltistan Government has always overlooked the issues of blind community. These injustices will not be tolerated. We will fight to raise the voices of blind community at all platforms. This was said by Muhammad Tufail, the president of Baltistan Blind Welfare Organization (BBWO) while addressing the office opening ceremony in Siksa village of Ghance district.
He demanded that the provincial Government to allocate special seat for visually impaired persons in Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly and also establish special educational institution. He stressed on the government to ensure 2% quota in all departments.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Shigar Abbas Ali was chief Guest of the event. Mohammad Alam, Principal Degree College Khaplu, Molana Moshin Ali, Coordinator National Education, Advoacte Ghulam Haidar, Senior Jurist and former Deputy attorney General Gilgit Baltistan, social and political figures of Baltistan and people belonging to different walks of lives also attended the ceremony.
Chief Guest highly admired the steps of Baltistan Blind welfare organization and assured full support and cooperation with the organization.
