Polish Climbers Attempt Winter Ascent of K2

SKARDU: A 13-member team of Polish mountaineer led by Krzysztof Wielicki reached Skardu to attempt to be the first to scale K2 (8,611 meters), the world’s second highest peak, in wintertime.
