Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrated with religious fervor

GILGIT, Mar 21 (APP): Eid Milad un Nabi was celebrated throughout Northern Areas with religious zeal and fervor as special arrangements were made to mark the day.

Seerat meetings and seminars were organized by social and religious parties, official and semi-official organisations in all the seven districts of region.As usual public holiday was observed throughout the region on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. The educational institutions organised special functions.

Such functions concluded with prayer for the country’s prosperity and development. All mosques and big public as well as private buildings were illuminated throughout region and Naatia competitions were also held.

Meanwhile, security had been put on high alert with enhanced police patrolling as well as elaborate security measures at all sensitive places to avoid any untoward incident on the Eid Milad-un-Nabi. (Coourtesy: Associated Press of Pakistan)
