National Training Course on Change Management Concludes at KIU, Gilgit

Gilgit, April 10: The national training course on Change Management concluded at KIU, Gilgit with a ceremony to distribute certificates among the 25 participants from different Government and Civil Society Organizations of Northern Areas of Pakistan.  

Muzafar uddin, RPM AKRSP and Dr. Ahsan, Registrar KIU distributed certificates among the participants. They congratulated and thanked InWEnt for supporting NAs. as part of the mountain area programme.  Two of the participants of the InWEnt’s International Leadership Training Programme , Germany  also participated the final sessions.

The main training sessions continued from March 29 to April 09, 2008 for young development professionals at KIU while a 3-days session was simultaneously organized for the upper level management and decision makers at Serena Hotel, Gilgit.  Dr. Wolfgang Kunze and Bokeloh Georg, consultants from InWEnt facilitated the training sessions.The main objective of the training course was to equip the participants with principles and tools to manage the change processes in their respective organizations and contribute to the reform processes in the region.

The training was jointly implemented by InWEnt-Capacity Building International, Germany and Aga Khan Rural Support Programme and funded by the German Ministry for Economic cooperation and development. The training was held as part of the broader programme titled “Mountain Development in the Himalaya-Hindukush-Pamir: Support to ongoing Reform Processes” to foster dialogue and build the capacity of various stakeholders in the mountainous regions of central and South Asia.
