Karachi, May 19: Advocate Noor Khan, of Chipursan Gojal, works for the Karachi Center for Dispute Resolution (KCDR), a project approved by the Sindh High Court and sponsored by International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group, as a Case Administrator.
He recently attended a certificate course organized by the International Center for Dispute Resolution, in Karachi. Selection for the course was based on tough competition between lawyers from across the country.
At the end Noor Khan was able to succede in getting the title of Accredited Mediator, after going through rigorous tests and competition.
Talking to Pamir News Blog Noor Khan said that Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) helps the rival parties to save time and money. “It also increases efficiency of the judiciary”, he said, “by decreasing the number of cases that go to the proper courts of justice”.
Noor Khan is the only accredited mediator belonging to Gilgit – Baltistan. Before joining the KDCR Noor Khan was practicing law at the Sindh High Court, working for a renowed law firm based in Karachi.
