Scouts paid tributes to martyrs

Hunza, May 26: The Shaheens, Boy Scouts and Rovers of Ismaili Boys Scout Group, Dalgirum Gulmit paid huge tributes to the martyrs Ajaz-u-Rehman, Bakhsh Karim, Gulbasth Khan for rendering their lives during the Kargil war in defending the country. The Scouts visited the mausoleum of the martyrs and met their family members. The martyrs were very active scouts before receiving the status of Shahadat during Kargil war in 1999. The Scouts also visited the mausoleum of a former Scout Sher Ahmed who lost his live in an accident in Kashmir.

This visit was part of the 4-days training camp organised for the 29 Shaheens, Scouts and Rovers as a refresher course in Basic Training, Parwaz Badge, and Itihad Badge. Amin Khan, Senior Trainer facilitated the training sessions.  A large number of parents, community notables and Scouts leaders also participated the closing ceremony.

    This has been a very good tradition and i salute the leaders for nurturing the scouts in such a beautiful manner.
    The very initial phase but the most important phase in grooming the great personalities and leaders of future.
