Babusar Polo Festival, organized on the lines of the famous Shandur Festival, was held in Diamir District last week, 5-7 August. The Polo team of Diamir District defeated Team Gilgit, deepening the wounds of defeat at Shandur, in July. Nevertheless we congratulate the government, district administration, the local people, the players and the sponsors for successfully organizing this wonderful opportunity to show to the world that Diamir is a peaceful and progressive district of Gilgit – Baltistan.

We have received photographs of the event through Mr Asghar Khan. The photographs are being posted to let our readers appreciate the wonderful sports event that was held last year as well.
