Secretary Health N. Areas narrowly escapes
GILGIT, Jan 4: Secretary Health Northern Areas Suhail Saqlain narrowly escaped when a bullet touched his jacket and crossed, but he remained unhurt here on Sunday, senior police and administration officials said.
According to details Secretary Health Northern Areas was buying vegetable when unidentified person fired by a 30 bore pistol and escaped from the scene.
Eyewitnesses and officials said it was a single fire and nobody was hurt by the firing as senior police and administration officials reached the scene and inspected the site and took the used bullet into custody.
When contacted the District Magistrate Sardar Saifullah Dogar, said that unidentified person opened firing with a 30 bore pistol which caused no harm to anybody.
However, he added, a case against unidentified persons had been registered and investigations was underway. APP
This looks clue of an attempt to sabotage the peace of Northern Areas. Before this coward act, we witnessed the brutal murder of Abdul Waheed , Director Agriculture department Northern Areas, with other family members on December 26, 2008. We can not afford to be victim of more conspiracies, which might have been or are being engineered by any vested interest individuals, religious group, political group or by any government agency, because they are well aware of our weaknesses. We must realize that peace is our progress, diversity is our atrength, political rights and economic development is our goal.
