Ghulkin and Shimshal reach final of cricket tournament

Shimshal, July 22: According to latest updates about the ongoing cricket tournament in Shamshal valley, it has been learnt that Hussaini Shah Talib and Passu lost their semi final matches against Ghulkin and Passu, respectively. The final is being played today between Ghulkin and Joshi Team of Shimshal valley.
Let’s remind the readers that this tournament is a mega sports event of the region.

Off course, Moiz has rightly said that it is a mega sports event of the region to commemorate martyrs of K-2 Jahan Baig and Mehrban Karim of Shimshal valley who lost their lives last year while scaling the world’s second highest peak K-2. I myself attended the opening session of the tournament. I was deeply touched by the way they were remembered before start of the opening match between Shimshal and Passu.
Let me remind you that late Mehrban Karim and Jahan Baig were the youngest mountaineers of Shimshal valley who were willing to hoist Pakistani flag on top of K-2(8,611m). Unfortunately, an accident occurred and both lost their lives. We pay Salam to both departed souls and acknowledge their bravery, courage and determination. Best of luck to Shimshal Joshi and Ghulkin team in the final.

we wish best of luck for the finalists, there is little bit discripency between our knowledge and news of PT ragarding the semifinalists, according to the players of GYSC they have lost against Joshi Shimshal in Semi final, the semifinalists has to confirm.
