[Sports News] Gulmit Young Stars Club wins Grade II cricket tournament

Khudabad, August 28: Gulmit Young Stars Club has won final match of the All Gojal Grade II Cricket Tournament by sixty runs, defeating Al – Noor Club Kamaris (Gulmit). These two teams of Gulmit had qualified for the final, out of the nine that participated in the tournament from different villages of Gojal valley.
Bating first GYSC scored 181 runs in 20 overs. Al – Noor Club, in return, was all out while 60 runs short of the target. Hidayat Shah of GYSC was declared man of the match for his excellent performance with bat.
Rehmat Ali (GYSC) was declared man of the series for his all round performance, over 200 runs and 11 wickets during the tournament. Zia Ud Din (Al – Noor) was declared the best batsman, Inayat Diwan (GYSC) and Zahid Jan (Al – Noor), best bowlers, and Hidayat Shah (GYSC) Best wicket keeper. The prizes were distributed by renowned businessman S U. Baig and Raziq, a representative of AKYSB.
The tournament was jointly organized by Gojal Tehsil Sports Association and Aga Khan Youth & Sports Board’s local committe for Sost.

i would like t tell u ppl that time has gone wen matches used to be 1 sided
now every1 are trying to bring perfection and improvement in their games
by the tym competetion is getting tougher and tougher so we need to prepare ourselves for that .then can we regain our title of being a champion
its said that IT IS EASY TO BE AT THE TOP BUT IT IS VERY DIIFFICULT TO STAY THERE

The most important activity in mobilizing and motivating the young blood towards constructivism.I really appreciate the organizers for arranging such healthy activities which will definately pave a way towards many better future prospects.
This year I heard that except a few old players all were new and more enthusiatic in putting efforts.
In this era where of frustration and depression have gone deeper in their effects, such activities play a crucial role in keeping the minds fresh and free of any kind of destructions and deteriorations.

Congrats to both gulmit teams for their well deserved efforts, although both were gulmitics but let me clear one thing thats alnoor has really improved since last couple of years, and i would like to congrat alnoor’s captain Zahid jan along with all his team members for such an unbelieveable approach through to the final.
and hope GYS will defend their tittle for the upcoming tournoment.
