Chinese laborers clash with police in Passu

Passu, October 8: Chinese laborers working on the expansion project of Karakuram Highway tortured a local driver, Gari Khan, working for the CBRC in Passu locality of Gojal valley. When police tried to intervene and stop the fight, an ASI was also beaten up by the enraged Chinese laborers. Police constables resorted to aerial firing to disperse the laborers when they failed to save their colleague.
SP Wasal Khan and SP Ali Sher specially came to Gojal to look into the matter and settle the dispute. A case has been registered against the Chinese laborers on request of the police ASI, however local police could not act against the Chinese, as they enjoy diplomatic amenity.
Several incident of mob violence by the Chinese workers have taken place in the region, in which most of the time victims are Chinese co – workers. However, on at least three occasions fights with local workers and police officials have also been reported during the past.
The valley of Hunza always remains the land of peace in Pakistan as well as in all over the world. The people of this area always played a vital role for there region and nation we have a lot of examples but I would defiantly like to discus the very recent sacrifice by a very young, brave and loyal fighter Mr. Muhammad Ayob and the two energetic young stars Mr. Ejaz Romi and Mr. Asghar Romi. It’s a very great example for every one that where we walk on the avenue of peace there we don’t compromise to give our blood for the honor, dignity and unity of our nation the SSG commando of Pak army prove that he came to serve his nation and successfully complete his mission. On the other way our two heroes taking there mission called Aman Mission (walk for peace) will reach there destiny and deliver there message to all over the world that there are yes some bad elements in every society but it doesn’t mean to blame the whole nation or community. If the peace walk represent the words of peace then definitely the great martyrs magnificent job proves that yes we are. From past to every present every one will see that we don’t know to compromise with our conscience.
