[Sports] Soccer tournament concluded in Gulmit

Gulmit, August 21: A soccer tournament was held in Gulmit, participated by 12 teams from different wards of Gulmit as well as adjacent villages. The tournament continued for three days.

The final match was held today between the teams of Qilha and Kings 11. Qilha won the final match scoring 4 goals. Kings 11 could only score two goals.

It is pertinent to note that youth of the Gojal valley have been deprived of sporting events due to the lake catastrophe that holds the region in siege since January 2010.

Public circles appreciated organizers of the event for arranging sports events for the youth. Prizes were distributed among the winning and runner up teams.
