Sost, December 27: The Pak-China border will be officially closed for all kind of traffic and business activity from 31st of December.

The routine closure is part of an agreement signed between Pakistan and China according to which the highway remains closed from December 31 to May 01, every year.

The border is closed, primarily, because due to heavy snowfall during the harsh winters the Karakuram Highway remains unusable, covered with snow, especially at the above 15,000 ft high Khunzhrav top.
