All Parties Peace Conference being organized: Mehdi Shah

Islamabad, January 2: An all parties conference will be organized in Gilgit to discuss the region’s volatile law and order situation. Durable peace is is of paramount importance for development of Gilgit – Baltistan.

This was stated by GB Chief Minister‚ Syed Mehdi Shah, while talking to a delegation of party workers in the federal capital.

He also said that the Government is implementing reconciliation policy and interested in working jointly with all other regional and national parties. Mehdi Shah invited all segments of the society, including political forces, to work for development of the region.

Responding to concerns shown by party workers about the significance of a peace conference, Shah assured that all recommendations of the conference will be implemented.
