Slain DSP laid to rest, son to be appointed as ASI

Gilgit, January 5: Funeral prayer of DSP Muhammad Ibrahim, murdered by unknown terrorists yesterday, was held today in presence of GB Chief Secretary, Inspector General, bureaucrats and notables of the city. Body of the 57 year old officer was later sent to his ancestral village, Palgam, located in Astore district.

IG Police has ordered induction of the slain DSP’s son in the police force as ASI.

Speaking to the media, Chief Secretary said that the terrorists will be nabbed and punished in accordance with law. He also said that family of the martyred officer will get all benefits.
